CORAL Reservations during TCN
Attention CNF Users: The TCN short course will be held Jan 17 - 20 and will make use of some lab instruments. Therefore be sure to check CORAL reservations for tool availability on those days.

Photolithograhy Training Sessions for the Week of January 16th
The General Photolithography training session will NOT be held this week due to TCN.

Heidelberg Mask Writer Training, ABM Mask aligner Training, and MA6 Mask aligner training Training sessions are also not planned.

Change to Resist Spin Bowls in Photolith
NOTICE:
Beginning sometime the week of Dec.12th, the Class 2 Spin Bowl in the 121/Spinner Room will NO LONGER be available for Class 2 materials. This bowl will be converted for use as an Edge Bead Removal station for Class 1 resists. All Class 2 materials MUST now be spun in the Shared Space lab at the North end of the facility. There will be NO Class 2 materials allowed in Room 121.

The ASML DUV Stepper will be unavailable Tuesday due to repairs to a water leak. Repairs could extend into Wednesday. This notice will be updated if the schedule changes.

2017 CNF REU Program Now Live!
The information and online application for the 2017 CNF & PARADIM REU Programs are now live. In 2017, we will hire five students who will be hosted by a Cornell faculty member and will work on an independent research project using the advanced resources available at CNF and Cornell.

This intensive 3.5 day short course offered by the Cornell NanoScale Science & Technology Facility, combines lectures and laboratory demonstrations designed to impart a broad understanding of the science and technology required to undertake research in nanoscience. TCN is an ideal way for faculty, graduate students, post docs and staff members to rapidly come up to speed in many of the technologies that users of the CNF need to employ. Members of the high tech business community will also find it an effective way to learn best practices for success in a nanofab environment. Attendance is open to the general scientific community, but class size is limited.

2016 2017 Creature Craze FIRST LEGO League Junior Expo

Registration for the 2016-2017 Creature Craze FIRST LEGO League Junior (FLL Jr.) Season is now open! The Cornell NanoScale Facility (CNF) FLL Jr. Expo will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2017, from 1:00-3:30 PM in the Duffield Hall atrium. The Expo will be open to the public to attend and see the work these teams have done. Please complete the CNF registration form and submit it by January 9th so we know you are attending our event.
