Performance Issue: Possible Slow Response for Some DNS and NTP Queries

CIT is investigating a campus DNS (domain name service ) and NTP (network time protocol) server that has gone offline. Campus DNS and NTP service has three servers and the other two are functioning normally. Queries to the impacted server may present a slow response time before an attempt is made to contact another. This may also affect some CNF Computing services from responding normally.
