Friday Morning: Restoration Completed for Worldwide Computing Outage Affecting Cornell and CNF If you are still having problems, please email cnf-computing at cornell.edu with your CNF username and details on where and when the problem occurred.
A problem with an update distributed by CrowdStrike is causing Windows computers that received the update to not start up properly. Instead, they are showing a blue screen with an error message. The affected computers must be manually fixed. CNF and Cornell computing systems may not work properly until affected Windows servers are fixed. Check Cornell status via the IT at Cornell website at it.cornell.edu .
CNF Cluster Maintenance Starts July 1 We will be rebuilding the cluster install image with a newer OS starting in July. Scientific Linux reaches its end of support June 30 necessitating this maintenance.
