Melanie-Claire Mallison began her career at Cornell University as a temporary cashier for the January 1996 Book Rush in the Cornell Store. One good thing led to another and by fall of 1997, Melanie-Claire was hired as Public Relations & Publications Associate at the Cornell NanoScale Facility. Many publications, emails (many many emails), annual meetings, tours, and summer REU interns later -- she is still on the job and enjoying just about every moment of the work! In her personal life, Melanie-Claire is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), an avid crafter and lover of bad sci-fi movies, and the very proud mother of Nathan Mallison and happy grandmother to Kai and Ella! Melanie-Claire graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Writing Styles & Performing Arts Studies, Class of '91.
